Ayodhya's Ram Temple consecration sparks vibrant preparations in Kodagu District

Madikeri: With just three days to go for the Ram Temple consecration in Ayodhya, people in various parts in Kodagu district have decorated their village temples, main roads. The historical Clock Tower in Virajpet town is now adorned with decorations in anticipation of the event.


For instance, Besagur village near Ponnampet has adorned its streets with saffron-colored decorative items, featuring the words 'Jai Shri Ram.' Meanwhile, in Virajpet, Madikeri, Gonikoppal, and Kushalnagar towns, saffron decorations grace various streets. Additionally, prominent junctions in these towns showcase large cutouts featuring images of Lord Rama.



Members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and affiliated units in the district are actively engaged in distributing mantrakshate, brought from Ayodhya, and extending invitations for the consecration ceremony of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya scheduled for January 22.


On Thursday afternoon (January 18), the new idol of Lord Ram was installed inside Ayodhya's Ram Temple, preceding the elaborate consecration ceremony. The initial photograph of the black stone idol, portraying the deity as a five-year-old in a standing posture is 51-inch idol was skillfully sculpted by the Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj.
