Coffee Board Announces Subsidy Scheme for 2024-25 to Boost Coffee Plantation Development

This initiative is part of a broader effort to support the development and modernization of coffee farming.

Gonikoppal: In a significant boost to coffee growers, the Coffee Board has approved a new subsidy scheme for the year 2024-25 aimed at enhancing coffee plantation activities. This initiative is part of a broader effort to support the development and modernization of coffee farming.

The subsidy will be available for several key activities, including:

1. Coffee Replantation - Support for replanting coffee trees to rejuvenate and expand plantations.

2. Irrigation - Funding for various irrigation methods such as Lake/Open Well/Ring Well, Sprinkler Irrigation, and Drip Irrigation to improve water management.

3. Infrastructure Development - Assistance for establishing or upgrading facilities such as Coffee Godowns, Coffee Grinders, Pulper Units, Eco-pulpers, Mechanical Dryers, and Solar Tunnel Dryers.

4. Protection Measures - Subsidies for non-woven fabric wrapping material.

5. Machinery and Equipment - Financial support for acquiring machinery that aids in coffee plantation management.
   

Coffee growers with plantations up to 25 hectares (62 acres) are eligible to apply. Applications must be submitted by September 30, 2024.

To apply, growers need to provide the following documents:

• A photograph of the applicant

• Aadhaar Card

• Bank Pass Book Xerox

• Pahani (2024-25)

• Katha extract

• Estate boundary sketch

• Quotation/Plan & Estimation

• Caste Certificate (for SC/ST coffee growers)
