Virajpet: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who is in Kodagu district to inaugurate several infrastructure projects on January 25, said that a serious consideration will be taken for the demand to provide 10 HP of free electricity for coffee growers in Kodagu.
Addressing an event in Virajpet, Mr. Siddaramaiah said, "The demand has been present since 2008. What were the BJP MLAs, Boppiah, and Appachu Ranjan doing about this? The MP is also from BJP; why haven't they taken action? Our government will seriously look into this.”
In the morning, he arrived at the Coorg Golf Links helipad in Virajpet taluk. Upon arrival, he paid a visit to the residence of Virajpet MLA and CM’s Legal Advisor A.S. Ponnanna at Panjarapete in Virajpet taluk. Later in the afternoon, around 10:30 a.m., he addressed a public meeting in Virajpet.
Mr. Siddaramaiah will move on to Madikeri to inaugurate the newly constructed office building of the Superintendent of Police. On this occasion, the Chief Minister will launch several development projects and address a public meeting in Madikeri. Following this, Mr. Siddaramaiah will proceed to Bengaluru from the Golf Ground helipad in Madikeri.
