The Election Commission of India released the timetable for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in March of this year. In this article, The Kodagu Express has compiled all the information, from Mysore-Kodagu constituency details to candidate profiles, presented in a graphical format.
Following the announcement of the 2024 Lok Sabha Polls schedule by the Election Commission of India, the Model Code of Conduct has been enforced for the Mysuru-Kodagu Constituency, where the polls are slated for April 26. The poll notification is scheduled to be issued on March 28, with the deadline for filing nomination papers set for April 4.
The scrutiny of nomination papers will occur on April 5, followed by the withdrawal deadline on April 8. The Constituency will witness polling on April 26, while the counting of votes is slated for June 4, subsequent to the conclusion of all 7 phases of polling across the nation on June 1.
The upcoming elections for the Mysore-Kodagu Lok Sabha Constituency promise a significant showdown between the Congress and BJP. The Congress has nominated M. Lakshman to contest against the BJP's Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar.
