What started as a small gathering has now grown into one of the world’s largest family hockey tournaments, even earning a place in the Guinness World Records for its sheer scale.
Today, his son, Pandanda K. Bopanna, President of the Kodava Hockey Academy, continues this legacy, ensuring that the festival not only thrives but also inspires younger generations. Celebrating its 25th edition, the tournament has played a pivotal role in promoting hockey, fostering community bonding, and boosting the socio-cultural and economic fabric of Kodagu.
