Neravanda & Manavattira Families Win at Aramanamada Cricket Namme 2024


The Neravanda family emerged victorious in the men's category, while the Manavattira family clinched the victory in the women's category.

Balele: The Aramanamada family, hosts of the 22nd Kodava Inter-Family Cricket Tournament and pioneers of the inaugural Women's Cup, have announced the winners of this year's Aramanamada Cricket Namme. The Neravanda family emerged victorious in the men's category, while the Manavattira family clinched the victory in the women's category.


The Achapanda team secured the runner-up position in the men's category, and the Mukkatira team (Harihara-Bellur) earned the runner-up spot in the women's category. This year's tournament set a new record with 313 Kodava family team entries, the highest ever. Additionally, the Aramanamada family proudly hosted the women's cup for the first time, with 49 teams participating.

Manavattira family clinched the victory in the women's category.

Aramanamada K. Suresh (Retired SP), President of the Aramanamada Cricket Cup 2024, expressed his pride in the tournament's seamless execution and the continued success of this storied event. The winning team in the men's category will receive Rs. 1,00,000 along with the trophy and individual player trophies, with the cash prize sponsored by Aramanamada B. Krishna in memory of his parents, Aramanamada Biddappa and Dechamma, and his elder brother A. B. Chinnapa. The runner-up team will receive Rs. 75,000 and a trophy, while the third and fourth place teams will receive Rs. 50,000 and Rs. 25,000 respectively, along with trophies.


Aramanamada Dinu Belliappa, Treasurer of the Aramanamada Cricket Cup 2024, who took special interest in conducting the women's cricket tournament, sponsored the prizes in the form of silver jewelry in memory of his parents, the late Mr. Aramanamada Ravi Uthaiah and the late Mrs. Jaji Uthaiah. He emphasized the significance of introducing the women's category as a milestone for the tournament and a step forward for the community, dedicated to empowering women in sports. Each player on the winning and runner-up teams in the women's category will receive traditional Kodava jewelry, Kokkethathi, in silver, along with the team trophy and individual trophies. The third and fourth place teams will receive Peeche Kathi brooches along with team trophies. Additionally, match mementos and the Woman of the Match award were sponsored by Dinu Belliappa.


The Woman of the Series, Best Bowler, Best Batter, Best Fielder, and Best Wicketkeeper will be awarded a Joomale, sponsored by Moovera Anu, in memory of Mr. Aramanamada Ravi Uthaiah and Mrs. Jaji Uthaiah. The Best Disciplined women's team will be awarded a Thook Bolcha (lamp), sponsored by Aramanamada Chomuni & Family, as stated by Aramanamada Ajay Appanna, the Secretary, who played a key role in preparing the team fixtures for the tournament.


The Aramanamada Cricket Namme 2024 concluded with a grand celebration, highlighting the community's unity and sportsmanship, setting the stage for future tournaments.
