Bengaluru: A 21-year-old man from Kodagu was tragically killed in a hit-and-run accident on Cunningham Road, near Chandrika Junction, on Monday night. The victim, identified as Ballachanda Aayush Appaiah, was a resident of Marathahalli and employed at a private firm.
According to the police, Aayush Appaiah was on his way home from work when an unidentified vehicle struck him and fled the scene. The collision caused severe head injuries, and despite being rushed to a nearby private hospital, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
The High Grounds Traffic Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and are working to identify the vehicle and its driver. Aayush Appaiah is a son of Ballachanda Sampath Appaiah and Priya Appaiah native of Kodagu.
