VIRAJPET: In a poignant display of courage and determination, a Class 10 student from Vinayaka English Medium School in Virajpet appeared for her final SSLC exam on Friday, just hours after losing her father.
Anvida Krishna, a resident of Boodimala village, lost her father, Krishna, to a sudden heart attack on Thursday night. The untimely demise came as a severe emotional blow to the young girl, who was preparing for the last and crucial paper of her SSLC board exams.

Despite being engulfed in grief, Anvida chose to go ahead with the exam, which she wrote at the Government Pre-University College in Virajpet. Her extraordinary decision drew praise from teachers and well-wishers, who noted her resilience and dedication to her education in the face of personal tragedy.
The school management played a key role in supporting Anvida during this difficult time. Teachers and staff members stood by her, offering emotional support and motivating her to stay strong. They accompanied her to the exam centre and ensured she was mentally prepared to write the paper, according to school authorities.
