Weather Forecast & Rainfall Warning for Kodagu(Coorg) for Next Six Days

Kodagu is likely to experience sustained wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph during this period.

Madikeri: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather warning for Kodagu district, predicting isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall over the next two days due to a depression in the Bay of Bengal. Kodagu also known as Coorg is likely to experience sustained wind speeds reaching 40-50 kmph during this period.

31st August 2024: Kodagu district is expected to witness isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall today. The weather system's movement from the west-central Bay of Bengal towards the northwest is causing this intense weather. Residents are advised to stay cautious, especially in low-lying areas prone to flooding.

1st September 2024: The forecast for tomorrow indicates the continuation of isolated heavy rainfall in Kodagu. The wind speeds are likely to remain high, maintaining the potential for disruption in outdoor activities and travel.

2nd September 2024: Rainfall is expected to lessen slightly, with isolated heavy showers likely. However, residents should remain vigilant as the region will still be susceptible to sudden downpours.

3rd to 6th September 2024: The intensity of rainfall is expected to decrease gradually, with light to moderate showers predicted in the following days. Although the frequency of heavy rain will reduce, isolated incidents cannot be ruled out entirely.
